Join us for Holy Week and Easter
"As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man, dressed in a white robe, sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed; you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Look, there is the place they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him, just as he told you." - Mark 16:5-7
The events leading us to the death and resurrection of Jesus encapsulate an incredible story of the power of God's deep and redemptive love for all of creation, culminating with the tremendous joy of God's ultimate victory over the power of death on Easter.
We hope you will join us as United Methodists across Southeast Guilford County as we observe the power of these holy days.

GOOD FRIDAY TENEBRAE WORSHIP
Friday, April 3 | 6pm | Julian UMC, 2105 NC-62E
A service of tenebrae - or shadows - is a meaningful retelling of the crucifixion of Jesus. As the story is read, candles are extinguished and the darkness grows.

It is the climax of the greatest story ever told! The tomb is empty, and Christ is alive! The power of God has overcome death and darkness, and the world will never be the same. Alleluia! Christ is risen! Christ is risen, indeed! Alleluia!
SUNRISE WORSHIP
Sunday, April 5 | 7am | Gilmore Memorial Park
As darkness turns to light, we gather in Julian's community cemetery to celebrate the victory of life over death. Join us for an acoustic, outdoor worship service to begin our celebration of Easter.
Gilmore Memorial Park is located at 6500 Liberty Rd, Julian, NC. Park anywhere along the drive and gather near the sculpture of Jesus at the front of the cemetery.
Following the service, join us just around the corner for breakfast at Julian UMC (2105 NC-62E)
EASTER WORSHIP
Sunday, April 5 | 10:30am | Moriah UMC
The celebration of Resurrection continues with a joyous service of worship in the sanctuary at Moriah UMC (3611 Liberty Rd, Greensboro) at 10:30am.
We will celebrate Holy Communion at both Easter services. As always in the United Methodist Church, Holy Communion is open to anyone who desires to know God's love, regardless of age or church membership.
Help us flower the cross! If you have flowers to share, you are invited to bring those to either Easter service to add color and life to our Easter cross!
We hope you will join us for any or all of these opportunities as we live together in the power of Resurrection and life.
